DRUMS

 

The drums are a member of the percussion family. A drum kit usually consists of a bass drum, symbols, a snare drum, tom toms, a high hat, and a floor drum. The basic design of the drums have remained unchanged for thousands of years

 

Drums are either played with your hands or with a pair of drum stick. There are many different types of drumstick from all wooden, some with plastic tips and metal brush sticks. Drums are the main part of a band that keeps all the other instruments in time to the tempo of the song.

 

PERCUSSION

 

A percussion instrument is classified as an object that when it is either hit, shakes, rubbed, scraped or any other motion that make the object vibrate and produces a sound.

 

There are three main types of percussion they are; Idiophones, things like bells and chimes. The Membranophones things like bongos and bass drum. And the chordophones which consist of things that have strings.
